“I've known Ted for almost 10 years. I recently got engaged and moved out of my condo and in with my fiancée. The condo was 95% financed with a 5/1 interest only arm and I couldn't keep making interest only mortgage payments just to keep it around, but did not want to foreclose on the property. I mentioned it to Ted one day and he told me about how the Short Sale process worked. It sounded a lot better than foreclosure, so we gave it a try.
I was more than happy to use him to sell the condo because I felt like it was a friend doing it, therefore I wasn't being judged or anything. His confidence made me feel like this could work and he had all the answers I needed and the confidence to make me feel comfortable with the whole process. We got an offer a few weeks later. I did not have a short sale lawyer, so Ted recommended one. The two of them worked seamlessly together and made the rest of the process completely painless for me. All I had to do was come up with a bunch of documents and they did the rest. It was a slow process, thanks to the bank, but a few months later I was free of the property. I believe that Ted's professionalism, knowledge, experience and contacts in the industry were key to making this deal happen.
When I bought my place many years ago, I did not use Ted as my Buyer’s Agent since I thought he was too young and inexperienced. Whether that was true or not back then, I absolutely know it’s not now! I'm glad I knew him as a friend before, but even happier to know I have a great real estate professional in my corner next time I, or someone I know needs one.
